Shenango Reservoir
Fishing is starting to pick up with the cooler temperatures. Water levels are even lower due to the reclamation of the construction debris that was left from the rebuilding of the RT 18 Causeway. For those of you waiting to get out on the ice, the mild temperatures are putting a stop to that. The fish that are normally caught through the ice are biting from the shoreline. With the drawdown, deeper water is easily obtainable from the shoreline. The few anglers that have been taking advantage of the fishing have been doing well.
Shenango River
The Shenango Outflow down to the Walnut Street Bridge was stocked with trout in early October. A reminder that this area is designated as a year round trout fishery, so a current trout/salmon stamp is required to fish that area regardless of species of fish that you are targeting or harvesting. Plenty of fishing opportunities are still available. The creel limit for trout this time of year is 3. Have a safe and happy holiday season.
Northeast Region
Warm temperatures and good stream flows have area trout streams in prime condition right now. This past weekend had anglers out on many local streams and the trout were hitting on both stocked and wild streams. This time of year stealth is needed to be successful though, make sure to wear earth toned clothes and avoid wading as much as possible. Light lines and longer casts will test your skill but practice makes perfect and you can find success with some patience.

Wyoming County
Anglers have taken advantage of recent unseasonably warm weather to fish in the county. Anglers have been primarily targeting the Susquehanna River. The river has been in great shape and anglers are doing well with walleye and Smallmouth Bass.
All Boaters are reminded that they are required to wear a Coast Guard approved personal flotation device (PFD or life jacket) during the cold weather months from November 1st through April 30th while underway or at anchor on boats less than 16 feet in length or any canoe or kayak.

Unseasonably warm temperatures have kept local streams and lakes fishing well. Make sure to get out and enjoy the weather! The week will continue to be warm but a temperature drop is being forecasted after the weekend. This may be the last ‘warm’ weather we have until next year so don’t miss this opportunity to catch fish while not having to wear a winter jacket.
